Wood fiber cutting board

The Homey’s wood-fiber cutting boards have the best characteristics of both plastic and wood! Wood fiber has the natural appearance of wood and is also a soft material that will not dull your kitchen knives. The best part is, it performs like plastic without being actual plastic! It is thin, lightweight, and dishwasher-safe. Wood fiber is more resistant to deeper cuts and will easily restore itself. Although wood fiber is a softer material, due to its high surface density, water and food juices cannot penetrate the top layer and will not be absorbed. This makes our cutting boards hygienic and easier to (keep) clean.

These cutting boards are multifunctional: use them as cutting boards, fancy charcuterie boards, or as a coaster for hot pans (they are heat-resistant up to 350°F/ 180°C!)

If it’s not wood or plastic, what is it?

This material is made from multiple sheets of paper which are compressed with heat and pressure, resulting in this final material. It’s sustainable, food-safe, and BPA-free. After cutting the boards into shape, juice grooves are added to prevent liquids from spilling onto the counter. Non-slip silicone corners are added for more grip on the countertop, which makes the cutting board safe to use! These silicone corners can be detached for cleaning.
