The Homey’s FIBR cutting boards combine the practical characteristics of a modern cellulose fiber composite with a natural appearance. The material is firm yet knife-friendly, helping to keep your kitchen knives sharp for longer. The cutting boards are thin, lightweight, dishwasher-safe, and easy to maintain. Thanks to the high density and closed surface, the material absorbs very little moisture, odors, or bacteria. This makes our cutting boards hygienic and easy to clean.

These cutting boards are multifunctional: use them as cutting boards, stylish charcuterie boards, or as a coaster for hot pans (they are heat-resistant up to 350°F/180°C!).

If it’s not wood or plastic, what is it?

The FIBR cutting boards are made from compressed cellulose fibers combined with a high-quality resin. During production, the material is impregnated with resin and pressed under high pressure, resulting in a strong, durable, and dimensionally stable cutting board with a closed surface. The material is food-safe and BPA-free. After cutting the boards into shape, juice grooves are added to help prevent liquids from spilling onto the countertop. Non-slip silicone corners provide extra grip on the countertop and can be detached for cleaning or replacement.
